MEET THE PRESENTER
Barry Thompson C.R.C.M. is the author for 101 Security Tips for the Beginning Security Officer and known as “The Fraud Educator.” Barry became a Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager in 1997, and established the Thompson Consulting Group, LLC in 2000. Barry has held senior management positions at an Upstate NY regional bank, and is also a frequent instructor for Credit Union National Association’s security institute. He is a writer who contributes to Bankers’ Hotline and he is the security and compliance “Guru” for bankersonline.com. Newsweek, Consumer Reports, USA Today and other national publications have interviewed him for his expertise.
Barry is an in-demand, internationally recognized speaker where he has made fraud, theft and security presentations to groups in Brussels, at the United Nations, and to Japanese bankers in Washington, DC.
