Credit cards generate income and promote loyalty from members who use them. But what are the credit union’s responsibilities as a card issuer? In this webinar we go through all the different aspects of the regulations starting with applications, ability to pay, issuance and required disclosures, statements, handling claims of unauthorized use and billing errors, application of payments and all the way through timely settlement of estates. Along the way we will tackle thorny issues such as what happens when the cardholder has a merchant dispute, when you can and cannot terminate a credit card, and the credit union’s responsibilities when terminating a card or declining a request for an increase. We will also cover all of the requirements related to rate or fee increases.
