Who must be a member to establish a trust or fiduciary account at the credit union? While the answer to that may or may not surprise you, it is just the beginning of things the credit union needs to understand about handling these specialty accounts. In this session we discuss the identification and documentation requirements, rights and responsibilities of persons acting in a fiduciary capacity, and much, much more. The following types of account relationships will be addressed: Totten/Informal Trusts
Blocked/Court-Ordered Accounts, Uniform Transfers to Minors (UTMA), Coogan (Minor) Accounts, Living Trusts, Representative Payees and VA Federal Fiduciaries, and Conservatorship and Guardianship.
This webinar is meant for anyone responsible for opening these types of accounts: tellers, member serve representatives, branch managers; audit and compliance.
